The Ichiban Engineering IE500R 5452 Bolt-On Turbo was developed for Subaru owners who want to retain fast spool and excellent street drivability while significantly increasing the power potential of the EJ platform.
 
Featuring a high-efficiency 54mm billet compressor wheel combined with a modern dual ceramic ball bearing CHRA, the IE500R delivers rapid boost response and strong mid-range performance while supporting over 50LB/min of airflow and comfortably exceeding 500WHP with the proper supporting modifications.
 
Unlike larger turbo setups that sacrifice response and drivability, the IE500R was engineered to maintain the sharp transient response and usable powerband that make Subaru EJ-powered cars enjoyable both on the street and on track.
 
Designed as a true bolt-on solution, the turbo is compatible with both EJ20 and EJ25 engines found in 2002–2007 WRX and 2002–2020 STI models, offering straightforward installation with OEM-style fitment.
 
Every turbo comes standard with our upgraded billet wastegate assembly, improving boost control stability, reliability, and durability under high boost conditions.
