2JZ-GE – Billet Upper Water Neck

The Ichiban Engineering 2JZ-GE Billet Upper Water Neck was developed to replace the aging OEM cast housing with a stronger, more versatile, and motorsport-inspired solution for the Toyota 2JZ-GE engine platform.

 

Precision CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade billet aluminum, this upper water neck delivers superior durability, corrosion resistance, and a premium engine bay appearance while adding the flexibility required for modern cooling system setups.

 

Unlike the factory cast unit, the Ichiban Engineering design integrates multiple sensor and fitting options directly into the housing, allowing cleaner installation and simplified plumbing for both OEM-style and full custom AN cooling systems.

 

The outlet features an integrated ORB-threaded connection, compatible with our optional ORB-to-AN adapters. This allows the use of traditional barb fittings for OEM hoses or upgraded AN16 / AN20 cooling lines for high-performance applications.

 

During development, we carefully optimized the overall length of the housing to maintain proper OEM-style fitment once fittings are installed. The design is also fully compatible with 2JZ-GE VVTI engines, retaining the OEM VVTI line mounting location for a clean and factory-like installation.

 

Additional integrated sensor port options allow compatibility with common temperature sensor thread types including M12x1.5 (OEM) and 1/8-NPT, making the housing ideal for standalone ECU setups, aftermarket gauges, and motorsport applications.

    Well manufactured product once again

    Whilst building my new 2JZGE i was looking to have a cleaner look than before. this water neck certainly helped with the look in the engine bay. Once again Ichiban providing the goods! Thanks again guys! :)

    Another beautiful and amazing fitting piece

    When trying to clean up my GE for my swap and turbo I was unsure on what I wanted to do for cooling. This and their other GE adapter for the lower neck made things easy. 16an or barb fittings give you plenty of options.
